Am I right thinking they should just refund me

Currently mid complaint with my gym, if you were me would you want a refund too?

Gym is doing a new class that’s additional to the monthly fee.

The deal was you get two sessions for £5 as an introduction, then if you want to continue it was £50 per month.

Signed up, wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy the particular class but thought I’d try two and then decide.

After one session they took the £50 out of my bank! So I cancelled the direct debit, and said I just wanted the refund - they’re saying I can do the other classes but they’ve just annoyed me now and not even apologised for taking the money early.

They’re acting like they’ve done nothing wrong but I feel totally ripped off and just annoyed now, aibu to just want my £50 back?

Call the bank and ask for a DD indemnity (I think that’s what it’s called) they’ll return your funds.

They shouldn't have taken the money after one class. Tell them you want a refund or will report them to Trading Standards.

Thank you, I wasn’t sure what it was called! I’ll do this tomorrow.
