Feeding neighbours pets

I don't know if I am being ridiculous or not

Few weeks ago, neighbour asked if I'd pop in to feed his pets while he's away. No problem at all for me to do this.

The 2 days before he goes away he texts me to say ohhhh btw, I'm having work men in while I'm away. I instantly felt irritated. I hate having work men in my own house, I didn't want to contend with them in soneone else's. Anyway, I'd already agreed to feed pets so decided to suck it up.

So I pop round this evening at 18:00 and workmen still there. I felt weird and awkward ( I'm neuro diverse). I rushed through the feeding and left, intending to pop back and check all was well a bit later. 8pm and the workmen still there. 10pm and they still bloody there!! So I'm off to bed!

I messaged neighbour who said the guy does work late sometimes.. Should I just go to bed and not go back round? Work men are smoking and chatting loudly in the garden

I'm proper irritated but cos of my autism I can't judge if I should feel this way

Feed them early in the morning and ask your neighbour if the workmen Can feed them in the evening

I don’t really understand what you think you need to go back and check, or why you couldn’t do it with the workmen around.

But anyway, tomorrow, just go in and do the feeding, ignore the workmen, and don’t worry about it.
