Chest and leg pain. Any advice?

For the past few months I’ve been experiencing mild pain in my left calf and the left side of my chest (heart area). It’s never been especially severe and it does come and go but it’s a noticeable niggly ache. No swelling of the calf.

I actually went to A&E initially with the chest pain as I know you shouldn’t ignore that. ECG, bloods and chest X-ray all came back clear. I’ve been to the GP twice about my calf who ordered d dimer bloods which also both came back clear.

At this point I’m just a bit unsure what to do. Could it be an indication of something else? Would blocked arteries or something like that cause similar symptoms? Or do I just accept what the tests have shown and presume it’s muscular or something?

Any chance you are walking weird!?😄
Its just that I have a wonky gait and if my shoes wear down I get pains down the left side (mainly knee and hip but eventually chest too if I dont replace my shoes).
If its something that gets worse when you are doing lots of walking it might be worth considering.

No nothing like that it’s just like a heavy ache in my calf and the odd niggle on the left side of chest.

It’s more the location of the symptoms that’s bothering me rather than the severity. I do sleep at a funny angle most nights thanks to my co sleeping toddler! So maybe that doesn’t help.

I did not read the OP!

If your GP/a&e have excluded the sinister causes but you still have symptoms id request a routine appointment to consider more benign causes.

Re the calf could always be worth checking if your surgery has a physio, to see if they think it could be a muscular/ligament type problem.

Could you have a trapped nerve, bulging disc etc? The two pains could be related but might not be.

I suppose I just wasn’t sure what the tests I’ve had done actually show. I know d dimer is for blood clots, and the other heart stuff checks how the heart is working but is it advanced enough to look at arteries? I’m approaching 40 and don’t have the best diet and lifestyle so I suppose I’m just thinking worst case scenarios.
