To make sure everyone knows about access to work grants?

I think this scheme needs highlighting. I think you can get a grant of up to approx £60k per year? To help you get to work and manage at work if you have an illness or disability including MH.

I think it’s important given current proposed changes that everyone who needs to be is aware this scheme exists and to use it if you’re eligible.

Do you have a link?

childofspace · 16/03/2025 17:46

For some reason I can’t do it but it’s on Gov.uk ‘access to work’ (sorry not sure why it’s not letting me link??)

The actual award is unlikely to be anywhere near that, but it is useful to know. I had a pair of glasses (around £600, of which I paid £200) and some text to speech software awarded.

I used to use it when I did stuff outside the house more, to pay for a PA to drive/fetch/carry etc.

I also had some office equipment which was v helpful (arm rests, chair, foot rest), although they only use one supplier for equipment and if that supplier doesn't have what you need... tough shit, getting them to use another supplier is theoretically possible but in reality, damn difficult.
