Hi everyone
so I started taking ferrous gluconate on Monday due to low iron as prescribed by the GP. I’ve been advised to take 2 tablets of ferrous gluconate once a day.
Since yesterday my skin has been severely itchy all over. Last night I barely got any sleep as it was so intense. I’ve been on ferrous fumerate in the past and don’t remember this kind of reaction. Has anyone experienced this? Is this a normal side effect that goes away or is it an allergic reaction? There is no rash or anything, just really intense itchiness all over!
AIBU to ask the doctor for a different type of tablet or is this something that will eventually subside and should I continue on them?
