Mine show Shoes/ clothes.. because my algorithms have picked up my searches.. so someone in your household have been searching for sex toys.. we all get different adverts.

I only get adverts for mysterious bundles of what looks like dead animal remains, and a creepy wax model of a baby with wings.

Thats a Google ad, which is personalised, OP is showing a mumsnet ad, for their content, it’s basically dependent on what the topic of the thread is plus a sprinkling of what they’re promoting.

Not sure you're right about the target audience @BellyPork, there are plenty of men who like it and a lot of MNters have male partners. Even some who have ED that are assisted by such devices. Shock horror some women use them too.

@Chester23 I get cat treats ads! Also relevant to me are clothing, men's shoes (specifically the ones partner wanted), hotels. Completely irrelevant heating systems and package holidays.

I’m in an iPhone so the “hide distracting items” does wonders on websites with ad blocker pop ups.

Good to know this is what we're called freeloaders by Justine for wanting to avoid.

Someone on here suggested the ‘Brave’ browser as Ad block doesn’t work anymore and it’s been fine so far 🤫

I really can’t see why it’s any different to getting any other advert for something you’d never buy. Currently I’ve got adverts for an online casino and some kind of expensive dry cat food. I don’t gamble online and I’ve never owned a cat, but I’m not kicking off about it.

They’re just sex toys. There’s nothing distressing or upsetting about them.
