if you have shared custody, how do you split costs?

Just in the very early days of separation. Dh wants to go for shared custody, he is a good dad and kids love him. However, how do people manage kids' expenses like shoes, clubs, clothes, holidays, other expenses. I wouldnt want to cover all the costs, other than the food when Dcs are with their dad. How do you manage things?

Shoes, Clothes, haircuts, school supplies, trips etc can be either taken from a joint account. Each pays into a joint account a set amount each month and all children's expenses come out of it. If this might be problematic then you can decide who buys what. He gets all school uniforms, you get school shoes, you buy clothes he buys trainers, you get hair cuts, he gets school trips ( unless it's a big one then you go halfs).
