To be a grump over dinner

AIBU for being very grumpy.

Ordered takeout tonight from an Italian on Deliveroo. DH got a meat dish and I got a veggie pasta. Really long delivery times but we ordered anyway.

Delivery arrived in a big bag and sat down to finally eat and my pasta wasn’t there!! Called Deliveroo who said to re order (but would take 45-60 mins and I’d have to pay delivery fee myself again so be out of pocket)!

Asked them to call the driver as he just left incase he forgot to give it and they said their policy means they cannot call drivers once they’ve delivered!!

So had a bit of toast and going to bed in a strop.

Surely they could’ve asked the driver?! Not happy at all.

So basically they forgot your pasta and then you needs to reorder, wait and pay for delivery again. I would be really furious.
Do you have something nice hidden deep in your cupboards? I usually do for the situations like this one.

Exactly this! And they gave me credit just for the value of the pasta. And delivery would be £3 which isn’t huge but it’d take up to an hour and it’ll then be past 9.30!!

Off to rummage through the cupboards!

Couldn’t find anything exciting in them damn it.

in this situation I usually do toast with lots of butter and grated cheddar cheese. I don’t know why but grated cheese works better.
or grated cheese plus grated carrot with mayo ( and toast)
