AIBU to think that if you were part of a conversation and you were sure of one sentence that was said but a second person also part of the conversation was equally sure they’d heard it a different way, you’d be sure you were correct but still concede that there is a small chance you could be wrong as eye witness testimonials can be unreliable etc?

You just agree to disagree, some people don't really listen so it will fix in their memory as the gist of the conversation not the precise words. They'll never admit that though
