What is this on my nail?? Pic included

I have extreme health anxiety and know this may seem petty but I’ve just noticed these deep vertical indented lines at the base/cuticle of my nail. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

AIBU to be worried it could indicate an underlying condition?

Did you squeeze your fingers somewhere or slam if afganst something by accident? It looks like younhave damaged it from something like that. It will grow out and rest of nail will be normal.

Do you have a photo?

I’ve always had vertical ridges in my nails. I don’t know if it means anything about my health.

@Enko not to my recollection, I have been on the usual walks with the dogs today but think I would have noticed some kind of pain or something. It’s really bugging me which I know is stupid it my mind goes straight to something health related 🙈

You have extreme health anxiety. Asking strangers on the internet isn't going to help you. It will make your anxiety worse.

Put your phone down. You are reassurance seeking ... This is part of an anxiety spiral. If the ridges are still there and bothering in two weeks then speak to your GP but don't go googling.

@Auldy you’re so right! I feel completely ridiculous even posting this as I am reassurance seeking. Thank you for your firm but effective response- I think I needed it!
