Driving down an A road and had to slow down an AA recovery vehicle was loading a broken down car. Saw so much alcoholic drink bottles and cans tossed everywhere on this road where the nearest villages are 3-4 miles away.

No it's far far less than it was when I was growing up.

And the fact that someone has been throwing litter about doesn't mean people were drunk driving

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 09/03/2025 14:22

No. I don't know anyone who would tolerate a drunk driver

biscuitsandbooks · 09/03/2025 14:23

It's definitely common where I am and people are arrested for it regularly.

Sinkintotheswamp · 09/03/2025 14:29

It might be passengers lobbing it out the window.

Its much more prevalent in some areas of the country than others

Usually in places woefully under served by reliable public transport at night.

Kent springs to mind.
