I’ve been married for 16 years we tried for kids had heartache but now on a nice place where it’s us

anyway one of my friends said I give so much but don’t get back would you be offended.

being honest I do feel because I don’t have kids o sometimes am taken for granted like my time doesn’t matter would you be offended

Your post is hard to understand. But as a childless woman I find I’m only taken advantage of as much as I let myself be.

I’m accommodating to families when I can but I don’t be a martyr.

Seems like she feels bad for you that you're being taken advantage by lots of people? It's a compliment towards you though.

So your friend told you that she thinks you give but didn't get anything back?

If so, I wouldn't be offended. Either it's true or it's not. If it is, I would have to think about whether I was ok with that. If it isn't, then I would just forget it.

I'm childfree by choice and can't say I relate.

I work full time in a senior career. DH works full time, often staying away Monday to Friday.
I have aging parents 3 hours away.
I have a big home and garden to keep on top of, a dog to walk daily and a time consuming exercise regime that I like to maintain.

I'm too busy to be giving to anyone, and see that as something I might do in retirement.
