To ask if anyone has been through court enforcement/bailiffs?

The defendant was supposed to pay me in an out of court settlement, and despite signing an agreement with my solicitors they still haven't paid.

Solicitors are now moving to enforcement procedures. I've no experience of this and have no idea how long it will take. Has anybody been through anything like this before?

Many thanks

Yep, I googled, and engaged a firm called Sherforce (their bill was added to the amount owed, this was a lot of years ago, I don't know if they still exist) - they visited his address, took pictures of potential assets, let him know what was going to happen if he didn't pay, and he paid. They were excellent - professional, and with online updates even 10 years ago.

Completely smooth and easy.

Edit - oh, you asked timescales - well, my guy wriggled a lot, and I had to go from the magistrates up to county court when he didn't pay - took just under a year all in - but if he'd paid up the first time it would have been 3 months.
