Disabled adblock and still getting messages to disable it

To be totally fed up that despite disabling my adblocker (and getting loads of adverts in the sidebar) I'm still getting a pop up window constantly telling me to disable my adblocker. Its as if MNHQ is trying to force me to subscribe.....and I can't even do that due to the constant popping up of the adblock window.

It took overnight for the request re ad blocker to stop that message.
I altered my settings yesterday at 4pm and today I noticed after 5pm
I don't get the message anymore.

@Introducingme - maybe I'll be OK tomorrow then....

Still getting pop ups about the adblock two days after disabling it - come on @mnhq - try and resolve our issues when we do what you ask

I had the same problem with Adguard; I whitelisted MN, but still got the message, so changed my blocker to Adblock Plus and whitelisted them on there, and that seems to have fixed the problem - for now, at least.

Thank you - may have to try that

I use adblock plus and can't get rid of the message at all on PC. White listed mumsnet yesterday after lunch. Still getting the 'disable your adblocker' message as of a couple of hours ago. Site is totally unusable on my PC.

I use an iPad for MN. It might be worth trying one of the recommendations from techradar:

I can use the site - I just have to refresh the screen 3x everytime I go to a different thread and then the pop up stops but that wasn't what I wanted when I whitelisted MN

That was what I had to do before I changed the ad blocker; it was so annoying - painful even - having to refresh a few times, then leave, then come back and refresh, on repeat. I did wonder for a while if the aim was to frustrate users into taking out a subscription.

Almost certainly - but then I am cynical....

Now seems to be working OK but am somewhat taken aback by the number of MN sponsored threads now popping up in Active.

Cynical is my second name.😙

Pleased you've managed to sort it - and I agree about the number of sponsored threads in Active.
