I’m sure there will people on here who know what I’m talking about . But there is a “prize competition “ website/ facebook group . It started a few years ago as one of those Facebook ones and then just grew . It - up until recently - had a website / app and was turning over huge amounts. Prizes were in the thousands and tens of thousands . There were giveaways , free events , apparently huge amounts of money going to charities .
There was a bit of a thing going around the scammer groups a few months back and I stopped playing . I didn’t necessarily believe it , but just to be safe.
Now , however , the whole site has shut down and people are out of jobs. There is talk - and actually pretty undeniable proof by the looks of it - that it has been rigged all along. People have spent thousands .
There are posts where people are sharing crime numbers to try and claim everything they have spent back.
I won’t be doing this, I haven’t spent loads - maybe a few hundred over the years - but some have spent loads , chasing wins . The owner is saying nothing and I’m on the fence . In one way I think you spent and didn’t win , that’s gambling . But in another way if there was never no way to win then so they should! I also know this woman made a lot and bought a new house etc but she has kids and all this will surely destroy her.
