I'm sure there are already threads but I'm sat open mouthed at the press conference Took dd out and saw so many news notifications so knew something big was happening Now that I'm home, I'm watching it flabbergasted. That’s the worst thing about Trump, he can be as stupid as he likes in America who cares - but he had a frightening amount of power on the global stage, and it seems no one is really willing to stand up to him.

The second hand embarrassment I felt over Trump and Vance and how ill informed and unprofessional they seemed was huge. They seemed to want thanks from Zelensky - like they seemed like a grumpy aunt who was cross that someone wasn’t grateful enough for a present.
I would feel so humiliated and embarrassed to be American right now, they are a laughing stock.

So now we know, clearly america is not on side. We need to coalesce Europe into a 4th superpower, the only superpower thats not an autocracy. Interesting times. Putin wants the Ussr back and trump, i suspect, has promised to help him get that by looming over the political negotiations as a threat. Hence why putin helped trump get into power.
This is a war that will be fought with technology i believe.
