Anyone else's child's teeth come out like this?

Surely this can't be normal? I was a little concerned the first time it happened, googled it and it said the root hadn't dissolved like it should, but does it happening a second time mean there's an underlying problem?

I'm second guessing myself in regards to making a dentist appointment because I know I tend to over worry about my children anyway ( I've rushed my ds to hospital before now thinking his appendix had burst and he was just constipated 😅 )

Has anyone else's children's teeth come out like this and their future teeth have been fine? Or had a problem?

( Tooth next to coin was first tooth to come out like that, 2nd tooth is from last night )

have added two photos, says currently under review

I've made him a dentist appointment anyway as I am concerned but still interested in hearing if anyone else has experienced this with their children's teeth

I'm not a dentist but have never heard of the root hadn't dissolved like it should
I didn't think roots dissolved once they were formed?

Some teeth only have 1 root, some 2, 3 or more etc. I thought the front generally just have 1 whereas molars at the back have more.

A google search showed this pic- which look exactly like the teeth you've shown. Do you have health anxiety? Do you think part of the tooth is still left in the gum? Do you have any friends/family with kids IRT you could speak to?

Huh no my kids haven’t lost teeth like that, I’ve only seen my tooth roots when they’ve been pulled out by dentist. I’d have sent a photo to dentist in first instance but you’ve booked an appt already so there you go! Weird hope you get an easy answer!

I'm not a dentist either but the gist I get is that children's teeth start absorbing before they fall out hence why most children's teeth don't come out massive, most of the tooth has dissolved

It can take a few months for a baby tooth root to dissolve, but the time varies. The process is called exfoliation.

How does it happen?

An adult tooth grows beneath the baby tooth, loosening the root
The root dissolves or absorbs back into the gums
The tooth becomes loose enough to fall out

That's what Google says

I have a group of friends and there is 10 kids between us, no of them have ever seen anything like it

My other childs teeth didn't look like this either and neither have any of my friends children. Once, I could of put down to nothing but the fact it's happened twice, it's very odd
