Is this another failed pregnancy?

TTC had miscarriages and ectopics.

looking at these tests is this another failed month. It’s getting stronger but not as you’d hope. Ovulation is all over the place I have 28 day cycles but ovulate on different days. I was due on yesterday. First test is Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and then last night. I can’t see much difference between the first two. So I suspect another ectopic rather than chemical. Anyone’s find their ectopic tests looked like this?

I don't have any experience. I'm thinking of TTC from next month. But your third test looks like two really clear lines? Good luck x

SENlife · 21/02/2025 10:43

Time of day, amount for fluid drunk, quality of the test all affect the line on a test. The best thing is to stop testing as you will just make yourself more anxious. Best of luck

Give it two days before you test again. Then stop testing.

My first test looked much like your second one - I was five days late! He's 16m now.

They are quite clearly getting stronger and it's impossible to judge an ectopic from pregnancy tests! If you are that concerned see you GP and ask for bhcg bloods 48hrs apart to see if doubling, you will be too early for a scan with that faint a line.

SJM1988 · 21/02/2025 12:14

I wouldn't expect there to be much difference between the first two in my experience. You need to compare same time of day testing not different times of the day. The last test is really clear though.

You can't tell if anything is wrong from pregnancy tests in my opinion. I've had glaring high positives with good progression which have ended in MMC then barely there positives with hardly any progression that ended with a successful pregnancy.

In the kindest way - step back from taking pregnancy tests every day.

I don’t want to give false hope but them lines look good to me, please stop worrying about a chemical or ectopic you really can’t tell that soon on pregnancy tests. You’re only due on your period too. Give it a few days and test again or ask the gp for a blood test xx

Allswellthatendswelll · 21/02/2025 12:21

If you've had a previous ectopic can you self refer to the EPU?

I don't think you can tell much from pregnancy tests. An early scan will tell you if it's a viable pregnancy.

Good luck!

P.S I know miscarriages and bad experiences can cause so much anxiety, I was the same, please be gentle on yourself.

Looks good to me too. I'd not have any concerns over the usual worries after loss that you just can't shake. If it helps, here are mine. 14dpo/4weeks today. They started super faint and still have a way to go to get super strong.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and advice.

My last ectopic my tests didn’t double like they should and EPU said it’s because HCG wasn’t doubling like it should because it was ectopic. I have phoned EPU today and appointment had been made but they can’t see me until 6 weeks for the scan as too early to see anything. So now it’s the waiting game.

I’ll not test again now until Saturday night. 48hours after my last test. Then I’ll stop. You’re right it’ll just worry me.

thanks again everyone.
