DS 6 really sweaty head at night

My 6 year old seems to have a really sweaty head when he first goes to sleep (first few hours) I just checked on him and his hair is soaking. The rest of his body is cool and not sweaty; he’s not unwell. I’ve noticed this before, but not every night. The past week it’s been quite regular,
We are currently away, staying with family, not sure if that’s a factor or not.

Just wondering if anyone else’s children have had this? Obviously want to stay away from Google.

My 5 year old is extremely sweaty at night, quite often her hair is soaking. My 8 year old used to be at that age as well, she isn't any more though.

My dd, almost 6, is the same

She sweats so so much when she sleeps, usually at the start of the night, now you mention it

It means that her hairstyles never last long, such a nightmare 😭😭

She's been like this since she was a baby tbh x

My son is exactly the same. He’s 7. My niece was also the same when younger (she’s 16 now).

My 4yo can get quite hot. (He is also quick to run a fever if he gets sick.) He keeps taking towels from the bathroom to put on his pillow and keep it dry.

My son is 4 and exactly the same, always has been. Usually just when he falls asleep and then dries off. Again no fever and mainly the head is damp. I also noticed his feet can get quite sweaty. Has anyone else noticed this, a consultant in A&E said it was normal for him but you always worry.
