Tesco orders, I thought kit was me

Apparently there has been a big problem with online orders. I noticed I suddenly had 18 unavailable items out of 48, including milk, eggs, and all sorts of veg. I couldn't find anything about a problem on line and was looking and tinkering all day, things being unavailable then some being back and then more being gone. Tesco knew at some point why not tell customers. Is that unreasonable?

Same. I WhatsApped them and they replied hours later saying there was a problem. V annoying.

It was a nationwide issue. It is now sorted on the same day that it arose. The majority of people will have plenty of time to get their orders finalised.

Pretty sure their helpdesk will have been inundated, and will be getting back to people as soon as they can. I suspect they can't suddenly rustle up extra people to deal with the sudden additional demand.

Yes, it's annoying. But it's an inconvenience, not a crisis.

I tried to add to my order due tomorrow and a third of it was unavailable, despite showing as available. I cancelled the whole order as basic essentials were not being delivered. Thought is was weird and I think a message should have been available.

This does not answer your question sorry,
but
where we live this was a regularity we tolerated until one week we had 6! items delivered! 6! so we withdrew from Tesco, don’t use Asda As stuff comes from a tiny store, same as Waitrose, same problem, so frustrating - Morrisons and Ocado comes from Distribution Centres so more reliable- in fact we have never once had a substitution from Ocado.

It was just baffling, things available, not available then available again. Mine is for tomorrow so OK now I think, but spent far too long trying to understand or fix it. I nearly cancelled the whole thing as so many items missing. To be fair not had a problem previously, but it wouldn't have hurt for them to put a message on the web site to say there was a problem once they were aware.
