Weighed myself yesterday - BMI 36

Going on calorie controlled diet/exercise plan.

Bought Slimming World just for inspiration with the stories etc

I did stick to diet yesterday so this is Day 2

Because dieting’s so hard I’m looking for treats that’s not food

Treat yourself with leisure activities eg I’m going to go and relax for an hour with a good book rather than go straight to table clearing and washing up if you’ve had a good diet friendly meal
Buy yourself some flowers or a beauty product

I know it looks like an ad. But it honestly isn’t.

I used to buy Rosemary Conley and Weight Watchers mags. But they’ve both stopped!! SW is literally the only one around !!

I suppose what I’m getting at is not promoting SW directly but non food treats for us dieters !

I have an instagram account for losing weight / healthy habits, set up for this reason only. My account is private and I have no followers but I post update photo as a personal visual diary to show my bodily changes. I follow accounts where others have lost weight/ are losing weight, nutritionists, healthy recipe ideas, gym routines, fashion ideas for my new shape etc.

I have different IG accounts ie, health/ weight loss one, a travel one, a home reno one and my personal one for friends / family. It keeps my interests separate and allows me to switch between the different "subjects/ ideas".

Keep going, I've lost 3.5 stone with SW, easy once you get going. I steer clear of all the odd sugar free foods.

Your local library may well give you access to PressReader, where you can download umpteen magazines for FREE. Then you can treat yourself every day 😀

I used to buy slimming magazines. I LOVED the stories. Unfortunately though, reading what people used to eat 'before' would just give me ideas and I'd be desperate for "A family sized pizza, washed down with two litres of coke before munching my way through mars bars and crisps in front if the TV".

It's finding what works for you. Fu ny iv found sw has changed a bit over the years in the sense the groups iv attended recently don't push the weird things like sugar free yogurts. There seems to be much more focus on healthy whole foods and using natural yogurt. But perhaps just group leaders we have at the moment.

I have terrible habit of coffee with a biscuit that I'm trying to cut down. And we won't talk abut my cake addiction.
