On my cervix.
The first two results have come back with a none viable cervical sample /inadequate specimen. Now they are inviting me for a third colposcopy in a few weeks time. I am at this point fed-up, really deflated, it really hurt me last time, and the stress of waiting twice for results has been awful. I have waited 3 weeks for this letter, and to be told it is not viable for a second time. I could cry.
This third time they are also going to do a repeat smear aswell, maybe as a back up precaution I'm guessing. My last smear was routine, 8 months ago at my gp surgery, negative and I have never ever missed a smear, and have never had any abnormal results. I was referred initially to the hospital due to some symptoms I was experiencing and the gp seeing a lesion on my cervix, which bled on contact.
Now I am scared I will have a none viable sample again happen when I go back for the third time. I followed everything they said for the pre prep. I just don't understand what is going on.
Has anybody had any experience of this. I can understand once, but multiple times?
