Where can I move to??

Where could I live? What house could I buy?
I live where I do now as it was where my late husband was from, I have no personal ties to the area.
I will be retiring early 52/53 & I want to be by the sea, I don't need to work but will always have caring responsibilities hence the early retirement. I love my dogs & walking with them so bonus points if I can walk them without driving anywhere. Not too remote as I do like an evening out.
One of my Adult DC - will never live independently, I might find it difficult to move due to care package but haven't looked into this yet.
Partner has adult DC based in the Northwest
My ageing mother in South Wales

Budget £550k - £800k
3 beds minimum
Office (obviously this could be in a bedroom)
Bonus points for Annex (increased budget would include moving my mother in)
Just after ideas not really AIBU

Loads of choice around Lancaster and South Cumbria.

So, you need to be on the NW coast, somewhere accessible to N Wales?

maddening · 17/02/2025 21:14

Wirral - close to Liverpool, nice coast, also close to north Wales and 2ish hours from London by train. Also not too bad for Lake District and Peak District. West Kirby?

You need money.

AffableApple · 17/02/2025 21:22

Consider annexes carefully. You could be paying double Council Tax.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone
@BadeballSkihipto not sure what you mean

Merseyside, along the coast, places like Formby are lovely. The north east coast is pretty cheap, compared to other coastal areas.
