Replacement for Sainsbury's Tu Leggings

Hi,

After being recommended their black luxury leggings on here years ago, I have worn them consistently since. They've been discontinued now and the replacement they have now is terrible quality. The leggings have gone from being so firm and thick, with the option of a short leg, to thin and baggy.

Can anyone recommended a replacement please?

I really like these ones from Amazon.
I have them in loads of colours and wear them to death, which given the price point, is great.

They wash well and you can't see knickers through them.

I also have Sainsbury’s Legging Rage. I got what I thought was the nearest thing and the dog put her claw through them, such is the thinness of the fabric.

Thank you for raising this. I’m on the look out too. I loved my Sainsbury’s leggings. Went for a new pair a few weeks ago and was seriously underwhelmed with the replacements!

I've got some from Primark and Matalan which are quite thick, not sure how they compare to Sainsbury's though.

These look fab. If I was a 14 with a belly would I be best getting the L-XL or the smaller? I wouldn't want them baggy but I like them comfortable

I know, I'm so mad that they have, like lots of other companies, tried to save money by dramatically reducing quality!

L-XL. I have lots of pairs.

Noooooooo!

V by Very. Great high-waisted leggings, really thick, suck you in.

ShinySquirrel · 17/02/2025 12:47

Another vote for the V by Very ones. I have some pairs that are five years old, worn multiple times each week, and are only just starting to look a bit worn.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 17/02/2025 12:50

I was also going to recommend the Amazon ones.

The Sainsbury's ones are awful now.

User12435687 · 17/02/2025 12:50

I'm a huge fan of the Amazon ones linked. Have loads now and recommend to everyone. They are so soft.

Also have Mint Velvet high waisted ones which are nice and thick and comfortable.

Morrisons go some great leggings the 15 pound ones. Well worth it. Would say they probable run a bit big

eatsleeptutor · 17/02/2025 12:56

I have lots of next cotton leggings. They're not completely opaque but the do last for ages and fit really well.

RaininSummer · 17/02/2025 13:07

I like the mint velvet ones as they are cotton not polyester.

I second this, the waistband is really good and the material soft,.stretchy but sturdy for leggings.
