Baby constantly unwell

My baby has just turned 13 months but I can’t remember the last time he wasn’t ill. He’s had broncilitis 3 times, too many colds to count, sickness, rotavirus, sickness and diahorrea and now his chest is currently playing up again, the poor boy doesn’t get a rest. I get that babies are constantly ill but when would you start to think it may be a problem with their immunity?? I have bad health anxiety so I’m just wondering would I be right to ask for some blood tests for further checks and to rule anything else out. Im a single mum and all these sleepless nights for both of us are getting too much

Afraid this is part and parcel of a child in nursery. But once he is at school he will have a cracking immune system.

Hi,
I have a 6.5mth old and I'm in the same boat. We're now on our 3rd cold since 1st January 2025!!! It's now turned into a fever and bacterial bronchitis according to a&e doctor as lung crackles present so we're now on more antibiotics.
My baby had RSV and bronchiolitis at 14 weeks old. Had to be hospitalised on a ventilator.
Ear infection at 12 weeks old; the list is endless.....
I'm just so sad as I feel our precious young months are being robbed from us.
Baby started nursery at 5mths old ( please don't judge, I had not choice) so I know I'm sending her to a festering soup of germs each day.....
I'm worried now that she will develop other conditions such as asthma, autoimmune disease, eczema etc from the lung damage and constant antibiotics they keep throwing at her ☹️
