Give me your best sitcom ideas.

I think there's a gap for a school reunion themed sitcom! Following a group of former classmates over the years who come together every few years for a reunion. Lots of drama and fun along the way.

I like the ones like two doors down that are set in someone's house

I like the idea of a library based sitcom. Librarians are so quirky. Similar vibe to motherland but library staff/customers.

Have you seen friends from college? It's very funny

Co working space. The regulars, but lots of scope for fleeting or irregular people.

Something removed from the average persons every day life.
I didn't like watching motherland, it was very funny, but it made me feel anxious and bring my attention to my own boring yet stressful every day life as a mum on the school run.

Don't want to watch anything based in an office. Or on a commute. Or anywhere that resembles somewhere I don't want to be.

I never got into Benidorm but I like the idea of a sitcom based on holiday

I loved 'Teachers' and 'Detectorists'. Do they count as sitcoms? Ones that delve into the weirdness of other people's niche lives but also have themes in common with us all.

How about something in a leisure centre?

There are people from all generations who go to the gym/pool and it could be an interesting place for some comedic action.

Our local pool has some hilarious body building contests and the looks on the kids' faces as the competitors strut about and leave selftan stains in the toilets is hilarious.

Ooh like a modern remake of The Brittas Empire! I loved that and would definitely watch a new version

Comedy or drama? Jo brand did a social work sitcom it was ok but didn't quite know what to be.

It's set in Camden at the tail end of the 70s and early 80s. It's about post punk and goth featuring places like the Batcave, Camden market and pubs in the area. It features lots of music.
