I went to my local shop today , the one I’ve been going to for 8 years . I bought some fresh items and put them on the counter , I then took a further product from a fridge and put it in the counter .
the assistant said did you take something else to which I said no. She said I thought I saw you taking something else . I replied everything is on the counter to pay for . She said I just wanted to be sure. She was very unfriendly and had a kinda passive aggressive tone .
I don’t think I am feeling paranoid and feel a little hurt as it’s a local shop . I really don’t want to go back in there , they are always so lovely, it’s part of my community.
l feel it was being implied I was stealing ?? The word take isn’t great .
any thoughts ??
