Clomid and ovulation pain

Hey,

Posting here for traffic as I didn't get a response yesterday in the infertility section. Hope that's okay?

Wondering if any of you lovely ladies would be able to help or give me some reassurance please?

I am currently going through fertility treatment and took clomid 100mg this month.

I had a ultrasound Tuesday and the consultant advised I would most probably ovulate Thursday or Friday and due to my chronic pelvic pain and ovaries already hurting last week, that I would most likely feel a sudden pain when ovulating due to sensitivities.

Now the part I'm confused on. I always thought that your LH levels peaked 24 hours before ovulation. When I was out driving yesterday I ended up in extricating pain in my ovary (I know it's ovarian pain as I've experienced a lot of large cysts before) and had to pull over. The pain disappeared completely about 3 minutes later. I tested my LH levels when I got home a hour later and I had my peak (it went lower again by this morning).

Is this correct? That's your LH peak can be at the same time as ovulation? If not and it's just been fluke I can't risk the pain happening again if I'm driving and unable to pull over so would need to stay home (I have done today).

I have PCOS, not sure if that changes anything?

Thank you in advance

I'm not sure if pain when ovulating when on clomid is common or not. It was my consultant that advised I was likely to feel pain due to sensitivities with my ovaries already. So confusing.

Thank you for giving me your experience with clomid Smile
