Health anxiety 😟

Hi I have a 3.1mm gallbladder polyp and I have slightly raised alt/lft which I need to repeat my bloods to see if it’s still raised. I’m 3mths post baby.
im being monitored for polyp for 2 years doctor is not concerned about polyp.
and my bloods I’m thinking if I had a liver scan why do they need to repeat my bloods I just feel something sinister is going on and doctors aren’t telling me. Like why repeat my liver bloods? Anyone can help with my health anxiety is it health anxiety would you be concerned if it was you in my shoes. I’m struggling 😟

They probably need to repeat the test just in case its a blip, which could have been caused by something you ate. Has your GP said anything to you about your diet?

Its not unreasonable to worry when you have a health problem; but health anxiety is different. It takes over and you can't think about or talk about anything else. People who have health anxiety don't feel any better when they are prescribed treatment either, they worry about that as well as the original illness.
If you think you have health anxiety please talk to your GP, as they can prescribe therapy.

Thanks for your response hun. I try not to worry because so many people have reassured me… it’s that scan and bloods once I go past that and turns out fine I will be ok then.
would you worry if it was you?

Is there any place private that can check me over my polyp to see if it’s actually benign? Does anyone know?

Yes look up vista health. I paid for a private abdominal ultrasound last year with them, it wasn't too expensive.

You can also pay to see a consultant privately in your area, it's usually around £200.
