Is this a faint positive? Never used FRER before.

Hi all,

been feeling strange for the past 2 weeks. Can’t put my finger on it. AF due today. No sign yet but it’s still early.

I took advice from here and got some FRER tests from Amazon. I’ve done one this morning and unsure if I can see a faint shadow.

I’m going to retest again if AF doesn’t show but I had ‘normal’ periods with both my pregnancies for a couple of months before a positive 🤦🏼‍♀️

thanks

I'm not sure it is - I think I can see the faint line you are referring to, but it looks further to the left in the photo than the line would usually be on a FRER.

Generally also, with FRERs, if you have regular cycles, ovulated on time etc, the line wouldn't be faint on the day your period is due

I would say no, but of course anything is possible - I hope you get the result you want.

Is there a crack in the plastic?

I'd wait a few days and test again, I'd expect a clear line on frer by now in your cycle but until it shows up it's a possibility.

FRERs were withdrawn from high street sale a few years ago for this exact reason.

I would get an Easy at Home test - very reliable, and cheap.

I’m afraid it looks like an evap line to me - colourless and slightly too far over from where the positive line would sit.

I really hope I’m wrong though and you get the result you want!

Thanks all.

Will get a different brand. Still no sign of AF yet.

@CriticalOverthinking no I don’t think there’s a crack. I didn’t notice one.

Im at work now but will check it when home later.
