What to wear 16-19 degrees

I know I should be able to decide this myself but I can’t quite picture it… we’re going to Spain in February half term and the forecast is for 16-19 degrees and sunny. What do I pack?! Cold weather clothes or summer stuff - I’m a bit worried I’m just going to throw in my whole wardrobe in complete indecisiveness!

Webcams show it looking lovely but locals wrapped up warmer than I am here - but I get it’s all subjective and they’re used to warmer weather.

Do you think I can take some summery stuff or is it just too cold / wishful thinking

I'd say that's jeans/top/cardigan weather with a jacket for the evenings weather.

You could bring a couple of dresses that can be worn with or without tights/leggings if you want a summery option (and wear them with tights/leggings if you feel cold).

19 degrees and sunny would a lovely spring day here!

Probably long trousers and t-shirt, possibly long-sleeve layer depending both on where in that range the temperature is falling and on how you feel in what weather. Some of those 18 days may 'feel like' 20. A light jacket as an extra, since those temperatures will be dropping in the evening.

By all means take a couple of summer outfits in case it is warmer, but I wouldn't be expecting to wear them. It's February. The time for summer outfits for visiting Europeans from further north is more April-May/October.

Layers are your best mate here!
Cardi, denim jacket, light scarf.
Probably long but loose fitting trousers for evenings.
Daytime I would probably be wearing shorts if it was 19 degrees.
in any case the weather will be much nicer than the UK- enjoy 😎

I'd say one or two pairs of shorts just in case and some short sleeves you'll be able to find some warmer sheltered spots. I went in October half term though and I think we were unlucky but were cold at times. Mornings dark and chilly

Dresa as you would for April/early May in the UK. Jeans, t shirt, sandals, light cardie, demin skirt etc..

The evenings will stil be chilly so take a jacket and tights if you are taking a skirt/dress.

Ginmonkeyagain · 09/02/2025 15:11

Oh and take suncream.

Mumsntfan1 · 09/02/2025 15:15

It'll feel very warm in the sun during the day. Jeans and tshirt will be fine. Shorts if you tend to feel warm. Jeans and a light jacket in the evening. The Spanish will be in winter coats with scarfs😂.

We were away in similar temperatures recently - I mostly wore dresses with a jumper or cardigan. If it’s sunny it will feel quite nice - mornings and evenings were chilly.

The locals are always wrapped up more than we are when we go to Spain in Spring or autumn. I've been walking round in t shirts and flip flops while the locals are marching about in puffer jackets and scarves 😂
