Hi, desperate first time mum here.

my LB had his one year vaccinations exactly two weeks ago. The poor thing has since been diagnosed with a chest infection and the with tonsillitis so he’s had two loads of antibiotics.

on day 14 post-vaccination he’s come out with a rash on his back and torso and a bit in his forehead. Took him to the gp despite knowing it was probably the vaccine the receptionist said best to get him checked. Gp confirmed a reaction to the vaccine. As we got into this evening I noticed he had swollen glands around his neck, a symptoms of mumps and dr google says around 1 in 50 get this side effect.

tonight we got him to bed but by 10pm he was awake and although you can see how tired he is he just can’t settle and now it’s 2.30pm. It’s so unlike him to be so tired but struggle to sleep on us.

has anyone else’s LO had a reaction like this?
I’m tempted to go back to the gp now I’ve seen the swollen glands but at the same time it does say it is a side effect.

I'm so worried about him, he’s started breathing loudly when he’s napped today and I think this may be a combination of the tonsillitis and swollen glands.

Swollen glands will be due to his chest infection and tonsils, as will his lethargy, general groggyness and breathing.
