I have been in my current role for 8 years - previously I was in another school for five years. Always been rated a very good teacher. In recent years, I have noticed a trend of undermining me from my direct line manager. It started slowly - banging desks in fury or stress and expecting me to step in despite being equally as stressed, not passing on emails - communication that has led me make me look less able - thankfully I am been able to provide evidence to the contrary. It has been notably more difficult the past two years as I have been given bottom sets which I am more than happy to work with but there is no recognition of grade disparity. It is impossible to have a professional dialogue so do I just keep going although that plan hasn’t been working as I have felt my confidence being eroded each year or do I speak up and address it?
