Lighthearted (hopefully!)

Just wondering over your time on MN how many times have you started a thread and either got no response or total weird ones?!

I once posted an extremely boring thread about flat shoes and ankle pain and obviously got zero interest (I wouldn't have engaged with me either!)

Have been here in various guises for past ten years or more but occasionally see threads with no responses that just fade away.

I also once started what I thought was a lighthearted post and was slammed - it went in for months.

Please don't not respond to this to prove a point!

😄🤭 the last sentence

Yeah I've had a couple

One about the grammys just the other day, and one ages ago but I forgot what it was about

I've commented on a lighthearted post once and got absolutely slammed by almost everyone, twas a long night

When no-one responds it does feel like the entire Internet is in on it, for some reason 😩🤭

None - because even threads where there’s been no response people have voted

Devilgate · 04/02/2025 22:31

Wouldn’t be great to have a full time job where you have to trawl through mums at giving responses to threads where no one has responded to the OP

I don't do threads but if I see one that's empty I give it a bump and maybe another one later.

I'm sure there used to be an unanswered threads button that listed them all. But can't remember if it was on the old format or not.

Everyone deserves to feel heard I think.

I have sometimes wondered about why some posts have lots of replies and others don't. I once posted about a fear I had of something in particular and got about 15 responses while someone else only a few weeks later posted about the same thing and got about 80!
