How to put a password on Youtube?!

We have a Google digi box/plug in thing. We live abroad, so this allows us to have Uk tv, plus the usuals…Netflix, Disney etc. I take Youtube off it and Youtube kids as hate Dd watching it. She’s a bugger and only has to press install and it’s back on. Our previous plug in, we could have Youtube but we were easily able to put a password on it that she couldn’t access and therefore could only look at it if I was there and we watched something I allowed together
I’ve been over it with her so many times that she isn’t allowed to watch it in the mornings etc, before we get up. We’ve tried everything to see about a password on it like before, but can’t seem to be able to do it
Hate Youtube so much!

Try putting it into apps only mode.

Or a low tech solution - unplug the chrome stick and take it to bed with you??

Go into settings on YouTube on the TV and there's a create pin section. It may be under parental controls, or security. I set one up recently for the same reason on our TV, but can't remember exactly how I did it

This is how we did it with our previous one, but with this Google one it just seems impossible. Do you have Google tv?

No, lg. You would think it would be the same on everything wouldn't you?! (But I'm not very tech minded, so I'm sure there's a reason for it)
