It really pisses me off! She did it multiple times today and I really can't tell what her or her guest are on about then. Why does she do it? It's crappy journalism.

She has to to get them to shut up

Why doesn't she just put her hand up in a way to shut the other person up or wait for them to finish their sentence? Other journalists manage it fine.

Yeah I have to agree with you OP, I used to really like Laura K, but she's coming across as rude and arrogant now.

I think they think it makes them look like hard- hitting journalists who are determined to get to their truth. As opposed to rude, shouty presenters.
