Parents at my son's school gossipping

ForPlumOtter · 01/02/2025 09:40

Those two mums been gossiping about me since the start. I had unwanted attention by a senior...none of their business but them two gossiping ...nudging elbow and said things " look at her" right in front of me.... I wear modest clothes and ...they seemed to be concerned how much make up I wear ( not that I do) or what I wear... this has been going on for three years...one lives up my road and she's even got her son to bully me as in when I was crossing the road with my children, he stopped and did not let me go...and last week, I sat next to them on school premises ( pick up time) as my other daughter wanted to sit there while waiting for dismissal, they walked away and then they said something to another mum...it was very obvious as I was stared at by that other mum as she's being told...don't know what they said...but she seemed shocked...not sure ...what to...just asking for advice...

Seems odd for them to be fixated on you other nothing but if there’s no back story

Just ignore them or smile and wave if they look in your direction

MasterBeth · 01/02/2025 09:44

Unwanted attention from a senior what?

User67556 · 01/02/2025 09:44

Just ignore them, sometimes child bullies grow up to be adult bullies and twats. Just ignore them and forget about it and keep away from them. Is this racially motivated? You mentioned modest clothes which made me think.

Comff · 01/02/2025 09:45

I had unwanted attention by a senior can you elaborate on this, what do you mean? Sorry if I’m being an idiot!!

If it was me I’d kill them with kindness. If they said “look at her” within earshot for example I’d turn around and say, incredibly nicely, “Are you talking about me? Sorry I didn’t see you there. How are you?”

LlynTegid · 01/02/2025 09:47

The school should be aware of your son being bullied, even if it is never on school premises, I think.

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 01/02/2025 10:01

Either ignore them and just keep your distance or call them out when you hear them in an annoyingly friendly way. Don’t let them get to you though. They’re not worth that.

ForPlumOtter · 01/02/2025 10:55

Thanks for your advice - will ignore them again. When I walked past them, they giggle and look at each other...so immature behaviour from two grown up women...one thing for sure...if a parent had unwanted attention from a senior( them two have noticed ...perhaps other parents have but are not saying or doing anything) ..., make comments elsewhere...but don't do it in the school premises...I do feel sometimes going up to them and ask what's their problem? But then I do believe, they're looking for that...

A senior what? Citizen? Member of staff? Pupil?

maudelovesharold · 01/02/2025 11:03

No-one knows what you mean by ‘unwanted attention by a senior’!
Do you mean someone you think is a senior citizen has been propositioning you?

ForPlumOtter · 01/02/2025 13:22

Sorry i meant a senior member of staff

Sorry i meant a senior member of staff

And what’s the ‘unwanted attention’? Flirting with you?

You’re talking to us all like we’re mind readers!

Endofyear · 01/02/2025 16:44

Ignore them. They're obviously pathetic women with growing up to do if they're behaving like that. Don't give them the satisfaction of a reaction. If their kid gives you any more trouble, speak to the school.

ForPlumOtter · 02/02/2025 00:33

Regardless of whether the senior member is flirting or not , that does not give them the right to gossip about me on school premises and make it so obvious or get her teenager son to stop the car and not letting me cross the road with my children or making facial gestures like teenagers...

I don't think that the PP who asked if the 'senior' was flirting was looking to judge you. We've all just been trying to work out what the fuck 'unwanted attention from a senior' meant, that's all. I hope you're some kind of Chat GPT creation, because if you're a person you're speaking in riddles FFS.

youngoldthing · 02/02/2025 00:59

Urgh come back when you can be coherent and explain what you mean.

This.

I have no idea what’s going on.

Their behaviour says a lot about the type of people they are. They are really not worth your time.

Tittat50 · 02/02/2025 01:18

This is not right. The amount of posts this evening that feel like a Daily Mail journalist or a chat bot.

This is a bullshit post.

I concur!

Sheknowsaboutme · 02/02/2025 08:48

Oh move on! Let them gossip. Ignore them. Your shoulders aren’t broad enough!

gossip makes the world go round.

Hillarious · 02/02/2025 08:53

Write a book about it.

Viviennemary · 02/02/2025 08:57

You all sound as silly as each other.

Yes! I wasn’t judging, I was trying to figure out what you meant because you’re giving us such tiny bits of information that we can’t decipher what’s actually happened.

ThePoshUns · 03/02/2025 16:01

This all sounds very immature and you come across as paranoid.
