Someone's stolen my doormat

I know it's only a mat but it's still theft of something that belongs to me.
I'm on the ground floor in a block of flats and everybody else's mats are still there from what I can see.
There's not much I can do but I have a slight suspicion of who it was.
My flat is facing the main entrance and until recently a young couple were parked outside there in a van most evenings and weekends, I assumed they were moving out but they were constantly blocking the driveway with their van, and it just felt intrusive them being right outside my window all the time.

I went to look for my cat once and happened to be stood near the van, the girl just came behind me and stood there quietly until I turned around and apologised.

I must've one day been stressed or something and probably sighed/tutted or whatever when I saw them there yet again. I don't 100% know what they were doing just constantly hanging out at the back of the van, fiddling with pieces of wood or god knows what.

Anyway haven't seen them for a while and noticed in conjunction that my doormat is missing. My next door neighbour is an elderly woman and I've never really met any of the neighbours apart from one very briefly as people keep to themselves.

I can't help wondering that it's them out of spite/pettiness but what can I realistically do? I know it sounds OTT for a mat but it's the principle. Should I tell the management company? I own the flat but there's a mix of owners and tenants here so not sure what could be done.

I wouldn't tell the management company as they wouldn't do anything. I might consider getting a Ring doorbell, both as a deterrent and for peace of mind.
It is upsetting to think someone has done that, but I'd put it out of my mind.

Could you keep it inside
