I had surgery a few months ago under GA to remove polyps and relieve endometriosis/PCOS. I have now recieved a letter from my local hospital inviting me for a hysteroscopy. Is this standard following surgery? The letter doesn't say why I need a hysteroscopy. It's all left me feeling really confused as I've been desperately chasing a referral to gynae from my GP for an iron infusion as my GP is no longer able to refer directly due a huge demand on the infusion service so has had to refer me to gynae who can only do the referral for the infusion.
