So since July last year I’ve lost just under two stone which is a bit slow but I’ve had a few holidays here and there.
Finally decided to do a picture comparison and feeling a bit disheartened with the visual changes. pictures below
How much weight did you lose before you started seeing noticeable change

OP I can see big differences in the 2 pics; your thighs and mid section/trunk especially! Congratulations on losing 2 stone, that is amazing Flowers

Idontjetwashthefucker · 27/01/2025 15:05

You can definitely tell, your upper body looks much smaller and you look slimmer overall. Well done!

JackieGoodman · 27/01/2025 15:06

You can definitely see the weight loss, well done.
And a tip when you are feeling like this, find something that weighs what you have lost, and lift it, you will be v chuffed Smile
I think perhaps you have a good shape which meant even when you were bigger your weight is evenly spread.

lozrox90 · 27/01/2025 15:06

I think you can see a big difference OP! Your legs, waist, and arms all look smaller and more toned. I think we're naturally so much more critical of ourselves so even when looking at a picture post-weight-loss we still focus on negatives. Honestly, you look fabulous, you have a lovely shape and you can really see the difference between the two pictures. Well done 👏🏻

Fibrous · 27/01/2025 15:11

I am a similar shape and my bmi has varied a good bit over the last decade. Looking at photos of me it’s very difficult to tell which bmi I’m at, unless you look carefully at my chins. However, I feel so much different at the different bmis. I presume you feel a lot better. Focus on that.

Doggymummar · 27/01/2025 15:13

It's hard to see on yourself. I'm nearly at f stone now and don't really see it. But if I look at the over 100 items I have sold on VINTED I can see 22, 20, 18 and 16 s. Your head will catch up eventually

Scaredtosayitoutloud · 27/01/2025 15:17

2 stone is amazing - I can see the difference - well done 👏 don't be at all disheartened - it's a great achievement! I bet you feel and are so much healthier! I was exactly the same weight on 1 Jan 2025 as 1 Jan 2024 so I can tell you - that's disheartening! Keep focusing on your achievements and I will try to copy you ✨️

KitsyWitsy · 27/01/2025 15:25

I can see the difference. I think I know what you mean though that you think you should see more of a difference but you were already slim. I think you have a lovely figure and if you want more changes then exercise, not weight loss, is the way forward.

Spanielsaremad · 27/01/2025 15:33

I can see it in your arms and neck.

Bluesprinkles12 · 27/01/2025 15:59

Thank you to everyone who said some encouraging words!
It might be the case that I can’t see it because I’m just over critical since it’s my body. So thank you, means a lot!
to those who said that I was already quite slim, I was actually well into the obese BMI! I’m still at the upper end of overweight so maybe when I actually go back to healthy weight (2.5 stone away still) I will notice more of a change

I can see a difference... all over but mostly on your upper body...round your shoulders and arms looks much slimmer.

Tagyoureit · 27/01/2025 16:04

I've lost 3 stones and I'm still in size 18 clothes so I feel your pain but it's a massive achievement! Every time I pick up my dd, it's crazy that I was carrying literally her as extra weight!!

Keep going, you're doing brilliantly and you do look great!!

PizzaPunk · 27/01/2025 16:05

I can see a difference especially in your thighs and breasts.

EauNeu · 27/01/2025 16:05

Google "paper towel effect"

Google "paper towel effect"

That's quite helpful!

Remember as well that there will be a lot of internal fat that has been lost. So while you might think you don't look much different in the photo you can clearly see your rib cage is even much smaller than before. I also notice a huge external difference, well done!
