Was just watching some of the aushvitz coverage on TV today. Here in the UK my grandmother didn’t know where my grandad was for nearly five years during the war. He enlisted in 1945 newly married, he was taken prisoner of war almost immediately and was imprisoned in Poland. I remember her stories of when he was demobbed. Makes you think doesn’t it? Family is everything. Keeping families together. No question here - just an observation.
