My children are currently in care on an ICO. One of my children made some accusations to school regarding neglect and I was arrested. However all my children have spoken to the police, including the child who made the accusations and made no discolsures to them. The case was dropped but the social issued court proceedings. Said child presents very difficult behaviour at home and I have struggled. Something I haven't ever been shy to admit to school either and approached them for help over the years. When my child talks to the safe guard teacher at school, he says we don't let him join in with the other kids, he says he's never been able to attend out of school activities like the other children and he "whilst the other children describe a nice family life with holidays, movie nights and days out... Said child talks of a very different life" .... Whoever he has previously had football teams, does swimming lessons. He's been karate before, I have countless photos of him on holiday and days out and having a nice time. Which I think is clear proof we don't do what he says we do (I honestly I have no idea why he lies to the school) He does have bad eating habits and when he went into care he had bloods taken and he was "slightly annemic" ... One of my child's accusations was we didn't feed him. And he is quite small for his age, the social are honestly just fixated on this one thing and literally don't see anything from my side or point of view. I'm due a parent assemement best month and I feel like I'm gonna get absolutely nowhere because the social are already against me. Has anyone had experience with a parenting assessment and can tell me what it entails? All the concerns are just regarding one child, they have openly said there are no concerns for the other children. Has anyone had any success in getting their kids back once on an ICO? I really want y solicitor to fight more and go back to court and attempt to get at least the children they aren't concerned about home until they are able to investigate my other child and work with us.
