To continue along those lines and enjoy a light Friday evening post, can you show me your kitchen utensils holder? I have a boring joseph and joseph standing set and want something more “cosy” iykwim

Mine are in a drawer - for me, the less out on the side the better.

SnidelyWhiplash · 24/01/2025 17:28

I have an aversion to anything ‘out’ on worktops so all utensils are in drawers.

Mine too.

I feel bad about being negative!
Bring on the utility pot pictures for the OP!

Ginkypig · 24/01/2025 17:39

I have three dotted about iv had all for over ten years and all get used. They all look as they were bought although the one on the kitchen counter needs a clean after I got splashed yesterday!

two are like this picture and on a shelf at the side of one of my kitchen cabinets. Regular used but one has less used things in than others if that makes sense.

the other is a le creuset very similar to this that I got really cheap (less than £15 I think) years ago this sits in the kitchen counter and has the most regularly used things in it like the wooden spoons so they are easy to reach for.

before these for years I used an old big package tube I’d cut into two pieces and kept the lids in as the base 😳 they worked really well for years too!

Defiantlynot41 · 24/01/2025 17:39

How about Le Creuset, Portmeirion or John Lewis?

I would if I could open the drawer

WellsAndThistles · 24/01/2025 17:49

My what?

Is that like a posh version of my middle drawer where things go to vanish forever?

steff13 · 24/01/2025 17:51

I have this one from Pampered Chef.

Same here, I have NOTHING on the worktops!

CrushingOnRubies · 24/01/2025 18:30

Most of ours are on magnetic hooks which hang from the cooker hood.

RedRiverShore5 · 24/01/2025 18:33

A Dunoon Funky Farm one with chickens on it

We've got two. Both stoneware things. On with 'Kitchen utensils' written on it in case you forget. Was my mum's. I would post a picture but I'm not sure they'd survive the scrutiny as have some cooking splash marks on them

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 24/01/2025 19:21

Drawer. We also have a 'gadget garage' for the mixer, food processor etc etc etc

InterestQ · 24/01/2025 19:29

I have this blue one from Mackenzie Childs (sp?) but it was a present!

I have a mild aversion to things with words on - so I don’t have canisters with Tea or Coffee written on (bad luck for guests who get up before I do who have to hunt them down) and so I wanted one without utensils written on the outside. My SIL has bowls with PASTA written on and eats cereal out of them in the mornings and it makes me so irrationally cross!

Before the blue one I had this: Portmeirion from a car boot!

I covet Monica's huge utensil crock on Friends.
Mine is about half the size from a local pottery and sadly does not have the word Pickles on it.

PineappleCoconut · 24/01/2025 19:47

Surely everyone had this one from IKEA
We did for years, but extended and upgraded kitchen and got a 90cm utensil drawer under the hob.
IKEA would be cheaper
