I have been using slimmest and keep getting constipated. Something they don't tell you?
Anyone else?

You may just be constipated because you are eating less. Make sure you are drinking loads of water.

I've used them and not had that problem - don't they have fibre in them? If you're having a shake for breakfast and lunch and then an evening meal, make sure you have plenty of vegetables (should be 2/3rds of your plate) and drink plenty of water throughout the day. I also find eating some prunes or dried apricots gets things moving! Are you getting enough exercise? A good brisk walk is also good for constipation.

I googled it and there's quite abit about sf and constipation. Thanks I shall remember the water tip.

Aren't they made with milk? That can be a cause of constipation too!

Ponoka7 · 24/01/2025 19:57

Most people are advised with any milkshake diet to take fybrogel. It's a common issue. I was on Exante.

But yes, if you are reducing to under 1200 calories day, you should drink two litres of water.

HappyNewFeckingYear · 24/01/2025 20:05

How many a day are you drinking?

Each portion contains just under 5g of fibre, you'd need to drink five to get to daily recommendations.

IME yes. But Slim fast makes me pee a lot, which must contribute to the ... drying out effect.
