Is "Disgusting" the most overrated used word ?

Listening to some, many the word disgusting is Uber used, inappropriately used and is worn out. Am I right or a meringue?

I find people are using ‘vile’ way too much.
To me, ‘vile’ is reserved for people like that piece of scum in the dock today, not regular folk who have annoyed you.

I think the word ‘awesome’ has become overused/hackneyed
