Spam and Advertising on Mumsnet

I've reported 4 threads today - all either advertising, spam etc. I don't click on them so many of them may be more sinister than simple advertising. It feels like we're getting more and more of this, I probably report a couple per day and therefore I'm sure there are many more that get reported and deleted that I don't see.

Would it be unreasonable for Mumsnet to prevent links being included in all posts? Without being able to link to their products, these spammers might go away?

YABU

A lot of people starting a thread, link to the news article they are talking about.

In fact, it is very annoying when people start talking about something as if everyone knows what they are talking about, when many don't.

Then there are the links to properties, links to outfits in S&B, and probably others that haven't come to mind at the moment.

Just report and move on, no need to stress and make demands!
