Reed Diffusers which smell for more than 5 minutes?!

Help! I need to smell something other than the dog.

What are the strongest/longest-lasting reed diffusers? I have a Neom electric one, but need something constant. I think the issue is I like light, fresh, scents and they don’t last long.

I love both the Jo Manone ones and the Neom ones both keep their scent really well. I have neom air diffuser in my bedroom but the normal reed one in the downstairs loo, love it.

I got gifted a Valentte Reed diffuser for Christmas - strongest one I've ever had. I actually found it too much in our small bathroom!

Hoolahoophop · 23/01/2025 11:32

Our Neom one in the bedroom lasted about 9 months while I ignored it. I've never had a pricy one before (it was a gift) and was really impressed.

I also have a pretty one in the downstairs loo that I refill with oils I generally buy quite cheaply in the garden center. The scent doesn't last long if ignored, but I find what perks them up is days the radiator is on or its hot in summer. And turning the reeds over. About once a week I flip them and they get a new burst of life.

So i now buy cheap, put the diffuser close to a heat source, or a sunny window and while I'm cleaning nearby flip the reeds.

I'm impressed with the Next ones

Arran sense of Scotland are amazing . They last for months My favourite is after the rain

I find the Aldi rip off ones of the Jo Malone scents really good.

A noticeable scent but not overpowering or overly artificial.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 23/01/2025 11:40

Turning the reeds is important I agree!

thatsfundear · 23/01/2025 11:42

St Eval are brilliant, 'expensive' smells and long lasting x

JustWalkingTheDogs · 23/01/2025 11:48

I bought a Molton Brown on years ago and it was great, lasted ages and smelt lovely for months. I've not had the money to buy again so when I got some vouchers for Xmas I treated myself to another one. Think they must have changed the oils as it doesn't smell at all

Hufflemuff · 23/01/2025 11:50

Aldi do a Lime, Basil and Madarin Jo Malone rip off that's lovely. They have a candle version too, which i leave the lid off of and it smells amazing.

After a while I think we all tend to go nose blind to the smells in our house though!

Small independent who sells at local markets. Still using the diffuser I bought last Christmas, packed away, used again this Christmas. Still smelling strongly!

Ahh I got some Arran bath stuff for my Christmas from a friend, and I’ve just checked and it’s this fragrnace, and it is amazing! I’ve ordered this diffuser, thank you

I’ll save all the other responses for when I go nose blind to this one.

Thanks all!

Another vote for Valentte. Was recommended them on here and most of their scents seem to last a good while as long as you remember to flip the sticks. They also do great refills.

Which neom ones is everyone loving? I'm going to treat myself.

I'd save your money.
I've had a couple of Neom ones, and whilst I love the candles, I found the Reed diffusers very disappointing. I've had a better and longer lasting smell in my bathroom and landing from my little Glade liquid gel thing.

I have heard Rituals are very good, but I can't justify that price atm.

Prices "open window"

Happyhippos123 · 23/01/2025 17:22

I got a Muji one for Christmas, it's going strong.

SkankingWombat · 23/01/2025 17:53

Ours are Habitat and maintain their smell well. Echoing PPs, you do need to flip the sticks every so often, and I have 2 different scents which I switch between every couple of weeks to avoid nose blindness.

I came to say exactly this.

Flip the reeds every so often ( flicking excess fluid into the rug). Also, and vastly important, plug the gap between the reeds and the bottle with a bit of sponge and you’ll lose nothing to evaporation. And obviously place away from a radiator. They last ages then.

White Company

The aldi "number" ones are one of the best I've had, for the price you really can't go wrong

MidnightMoon24 · 23/01/2025 20:16

I love the Arran ones too, After the rain is lovely.

Blarn · 23/01/2025 20:16

Rituals. I smelled it for months. It came in a beauty advent calendars but I think are about £35 and are definitely worth that price.
