A visit came round and as soon as the parent came into the room for the pre school children, a SEN non verbal child with pica was vanished out of the room. We can see that bit he was put in from our room (toddler room) so he did have us watching him as it’s just separated with a baby gate but he was clearly put there whilst the visit was in as he had been crying and I know he gets into everything in the room and the staff said he is ‘destructive’ All of a sudden he was trying to climb behind an easel and nearly fell so I had to go and stand with him.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour, to banish him like that and presumably without arranging cover for him explicitly, as you said you had to go and stand with him.

Absolutely appalling and definitely not right. My youngest started nursery and during the walk round we encountered a little one very similar to mine. It made me feel at ease. We also encountered a child mid meltdown and seeing the staff handle it increased my confidence in it even more.
