Got these boots but somehow I can't fit my feet in.
I have more boots from her and have sized the soles with my other boots, and they're the same size.

These have a zip, but have had long zip less ones that have gone on fine.

Does anyone have these and any advice?

Reluctant to send back without trying everything as they're sold out in my size.

YABU - Squeeze them in.
YANBU- YANBU, You need a size or 2 up just to fit the foot in.

Her sizing is ridiculously small. Sorry I don’t have those boots but everything I’ve ever bought from her has been ludicrously small and when I’ve kept them I’ve regretted it.

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 19/01/2025 18:37

Thanks, that's good to know.

Seems I've been lucky thus far then as all my size 6s fit ok.

I recently tried on some Fairfax and Favor boots and the shop assistant gave me a zip lock bag to put my foot in and then slide into the boot. Slid in like a dream. try it. Once I started wearing the boots regularly they stretched a bit and I could dispense with the ziploc bag.

BIossomtoes · 19/01/2025 19:06

How do you get the bag out again without taking your foot out?

Katherineryan1986 · 19/01/2025 20:23

@BIossomtoes

You leave the bag on your foot!. After a few wears of the boots you won't need to use it.

comedycentral · 19/01/2025 20:24

If the shoes are uncomfortable you won't wear them. I'd send back.

As in the food plastic ones?

Can you imagine how sweaty your feet would get walking around with plastic bags in your boots? I have a very comfortable pair of boots that started like this - the joy of a high instep. What you need @Treesandsheepeverywhere is a shoe horn, wear them a few times and you won’t need it any more.

Quite! 😅, my athletes foot would come back with a vengeance!

I've wrapped them to go back but can't bring myself to take them to the post office. So thought to try here before I run out of the return window.

My foot is where it stick out, won't go further. Would the zip bag work or too much?

Will try the shoe horn, don't know why I didn't think of it. Thanks.

As you can see, the zip goes pretty much all the way down, so not the issue. Just not wide enough.

They’re lovely boots, I can see why you don’t want to send them back.

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 20/01/2025 09:10

Thank you, I love them so much, they were allowed on the table! 😅
Will try the shoe horn this evening when back in 🤞🤞🤞.

My feet didn’t get sweaty - I had my socks on inside the plastic bag - it really works!

BIossomtoes · 20/01/2025 17:46

Yours might not have done but mine definitely would. It’s one of the reasons I only buy leather shoes.

FOJN · 20/01/2025 17:52

You can use an old carrier bag cut and wrapped around the foot (a bit bandage like)which allows for slip but can be pulled out once the boot is on. It's a trick nurses use with plastic aprons for getting ted stockings on.

What type of socks are you wearing? I find cotton socks can be a bugger with certain boot linings but wool or bamboo are fine.

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 20/01/2025 18:32

Well, who'd have thought it! They are in!!!
Thank you @Katherineryan1986 literally slid on.

Thanks @BIossomtoes, tried the shoehorn but think needed a longer one.

Thanks too @FOJN .

Will try and wear them in at home as my toes would get sweaty if out for the day.
