Posting for traffic as I have no experience of implants.
I have 2 upper front teeth missing due to a failed Maryland Bridge which has been glued back twice but obviously won't now stay in place. It has actually lasted quite a long time.
So I can have a denture, fixed bridge or implant. I don't want a denture and am disappointed to find that a fixed bridge will involve shaving down two perfectly healthy teeth and may last as little as 8 years.
I've had a quote from a dentist (South Wales) and it's just over £4k! It includes 2 hygienist visits, all scans and a single implant with a bridge. This seems like a lot of money compared to an NHS bridge which is from £350 at my regular dentist.
I won't be going to Turkey so I wonder is this a typical cost and is it worth it? Can you eat foods like apples and nuts with a fixed bridge and do implants ever break? For me, the functionality and longevity is more important than cosmetic appearance.
